Presidential election protest outside the Polish Supreme Court in Warsaw

On the afternoon of the 1st of July, following multiple appeals over the procedures of the presidential election in May, Poland's Supreme Court meet to rule on the validity of the vote won by the nationalist opposition candidate, Karol Nawrocki. The candidate nominated by the government, Warsaw's mayor, Rafal Trzaskowski, trailed Nawrocki by more than 369,000 votes. Prosecutors alleged that at some polling stations, the vote count was falsified to benefit Nawrocki, which has raised a popular movement for a recount nationwide. During the court session, two protests took place outside the Supreme Court building. One protest was led by Nawrocki's supporters who demanded the court ratify their candidate's victory, while the other, demanding a national recount, was led by the leader of the Women's Strike movement, Marta Lempart.
