On Saturday 29th of March, several hundred thousand Newcastle United fans line the city centre streets to welcome an open-bus parade of the Carabao League Cup-winning team. The victory was the club's first domestic trophy in 70 years, and the celebration was to be attended by a chaotic, noisy and adoring public. Crowds gathered from early in the morning waiting for the team to pass by St. James' Park on their way through the city to the Town Moor, where a celebration event continued into the evening.
