Polish and Palestinian Foreign Affairs Ministers meet the press in Warsaw, Poland

On the afternoon of 20th February, the Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski, meets with Varsen Aghabekian, the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, on her visit to Poland. After the meeting, the ministers speak to the press. Sikorski announces that Poland reaffirms its support for a two-state solution. In addition, both ministers point out the need for Palestinian representation in negotiations on the future of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Poland recognises the statehood of Palestine, and since 2005, the Palestinian Authority has been in the group of priority countries for Polish cooperation in development.
