Animal Rights activists march through central Warsaw

On the afternoon of the 14th September, activists and supporters of animal rights march through the streets of Warsaw to raise awareness of the dire suffering of animals trapped within factory and industrial farming. The march is billed as an opportunity for the community to come together and make their voices heard, chanting of the importance of equality for animals. Participants began their action at the statue of Copernicus on Nowy Swiat street and marched with banners and placards down through the city centre, behind the Palace of Culture and Science, and returned to Copernicus' statue. As the participants marched, pro-animal, anti-factory farming slogans were chanted along with encouragements for the public to "go vegan".
