Setting off from the Poniatowski Bridge, the runners pass through the streets of Warsaw, finishing at the National Stadium. Polish runner, Elżbieta Glinka won the women's category with a personal best time of 1:09:25, and the men's category was won by Kenyan runner, Amon Kiptoo.

Runners may complete as many climbs as they wish; however, the goal is to reach the 42nd floor 52 times, reaching the height of Mount Everest. The event lasts 24 hours, and runners can take breaks at any time. They may even go home to sleep before returning, reinvigorated, to attack the peak. This year, a runner named Klaudia Krajewska ranked highest, completing 109 climbs, stopping a remarkable one climb of the tower from "ascending Everest" twice.
