Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk joins observers to watch partial solar eclipse

On the evening of the 12th August, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Donald Tusk, joins scientific observers and members of the public at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw to watch a partial solar eclipse. At its maximum, the Moon obscures about 82% of the Sun as viewed from the Polish capital. Warsaw’s eclipse runs from approximately 19:14 until sunset at 20:06, reaching its maximum at 20:02. The roughly 82% figure refers to the Sun’s covered area; the eclipse magnitude was about 0.85.
