On July 9th, guitarist Rob Scallon joined with Robert Keeley of Keeley Electronics, Josh Scott of JHS Pedals, Ryan Dyck of Temple Audio, and Brian Wampler of Wampler Pedals and a host of Sweetwater staff to create the largest playable guitar pedalboard certified by the Guinness World Records organisation.

And now for a short digression…
To get only very slightly political for a second, John Oliver, and Last Week Tonight recently reported a main story that at first seemed a standard takedown of a tin-pot dictator, then swiftly shifted lanes and became a sharp criticism of the Guinness organisation itself. The video above is impressive and congratulations to all involved, but it didn’t feel right to post it without also posting the Last Week Tonight piece, which makes many of the Guinness World Records feel a great deal more icky once seen.
